Every year I host an Oscar party because I just love love love the Oscars. It's so fun to watch the red carpet to see what everyone is wearing and talk amongst your friends who looks great and who's dress you hate. There is a prize at the end of the night for the person who predicts the most winners in each award category. I like to have a slew of appetizers and dessert instead of a meal so people can pick and choose their way through the ceremony. Here is what we ate!
Mini hot dogs with a mustard dip, bleu cheese and bacon dip, chicken satay skewers, and crab empanadas....
Mac n cheese in ramekins
Brown butter and parmesan popcorn and rosemary and cayenne pepper cashews
A slew of desserts from Icing on the Cake Bakery in Los Gatos
And last but not least, the prize and party favors!
